Thanks for putting it so clearly. Is it not wonderful to know God, not just know about God? I am so glad you have come & joined us here. He seems to prefer to “push us off the cliff.” I think this is why many people are afraid to know Him. But then the “suddenlies” come in. Suddenly he lifts us with the angels as we fall. Dear Bob,
Excellent passage.For many years I “beleived” that Jesus was the son of God. However, I knew Jesus about as well as I knew George Bush. I knew George Bush was the President but, I didn’t convene with him and talk to him on a daily basis. I didn’t know him well enough to call him on AirForce One and ask him for a small favor.

My point is when I began walking with the Lord, I developed a relationship that was based on trust and love. I trust & beleive God when he says: “Melinda,your about to get pushed off that cliff and just watch how I prove to you and others that People really can fly.” I know that God is the ultimate “handyman”. I beleive in my heart that he can fix anything if and when he desires and If we call on him in our hour of prayer. Is God Santa Claus? Not hardly. However, take a good look around and it’s clear & evident God is no where close to being fresh outta’ miracles either.

Thank you for your candor, Rod. I feel you summed up what
millions of people think, believe or feel, if not most everyone. I know only a handful personally who have broken through to live this profound understanding of who HE is and that He came to bring us to understand that by faith we would bring all the things existing in heaven to earth. “This gospel of the Kingdom (of heaven) shall be preached throughout the earth…” I think sometimes we have only believed and preached a gospel of salvation and missed the whole of it. It is much more!

Great post! I struggle in this area of believing “greater things shall we do” but you are absolutely right, Jesus said it! If he said it, and we are Christians, we should take Him at His word! Carrie has been reading a book called “God’s Generals” about dynamic revivalists and healers. Some amazing stories of healing and world impact! Thanks for this post!
