The Test of Money: Part 2

21 August 2009 6 Comments

Too close for comfortGod wanted me to go to Africa. I was not sure. I did not know well the people who invited me. However, truly I had no money at the time. It was funny, as God had just sent me to Argentina to meet the Africans, and I had no money until the very second I paid for Argentina.

So, I signed up for the trip. I was to go for three weeks to three different parts of the African continent. It was ridiculous in the worlds eyes. In fact I was invited to a little safari on top of it, to meet some godly men working on the continent of Africa. I was traveling with very wealthy people at least in part.

So, one morning I got an email from South Africa, “money required now.” I just laughed and told God, “Well, you said ’seek first…’ and here I am.” The last part is that “all these things will be added.” That is the promise of material goods-money and food.

I got a call about three hours later informing me that a complicated financial arrangement, a partnership in which I had passive interest, was “forcing” me to take a “distribution.” So the call was to apologize for not telling me that thousands of dollars were deposited into my account that morning without my permission.

So, I went to Africa and saw later why. I worked with and for thousands of poor people. I was able to encourage an entire assembly in South Africa with something I felt God wanted to say to the people and we both were moved. I helped set up a project to bring prosperity and health to an area of East Africa where most of the children die of malaria and have no work or education. We laid out investment of over $1.5 million and started new development there.

Then I went to North Africa and prayed for healing and blessing on many people who asked us for it. A blind stranger who could not speak my language begged me to pray for healing of his eyes. His wife also begged me. These are the persecuted church, and wanted so much our fellowship. We prayed together for five days. This is what God invests his money into. The investment of the thousands went from dollars into gold in heaven in my account forever. That is not a dream-it is God’s intended promise and my inheritance in part.

One day as I was near the end of the trip, I knew I was out of money but had another week. God said, “Go down the hall to the ATM and take out a certain amount -so big that I was nervous. So I laughed, and did what He said. The money came rolling out of the ATM when I pushed the button, even though I had no money in my account or in my pocket and knew this. I did not steal the money, God just created it! It came out of the Bank of Heaven! Friends, this must become normal to bring in the Great Harvest waiting for us now. This has happened to me at least three times when I was doing assignments to people in need overseas. No money was ever reported stolen since it was not. It was a creative miracle like the loaves and fishes.

This is going to be common in the future, when the new wine comes in fully. Until then, focus on “The Kingdom” issues and “His righteousness” and believe that God will give to you financially. Let Him do miracles. He creates bread and fish from an evening prayer and breaking them for hungry people. A little money is nothing for God.

Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV -  “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;  but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Thank you 4 creating this blog. Thank you 4 being you. Thank God that I was chosen by him to participate in this unearned favor. I understand.

I have in the past read all of what you have quoted here and in some previous entries. I do believe. I am receiving the same message from different sources. Each appears nearly tailor made 4 me.

Not sure if you remember but I asked all who read this to please consider reading a very short but brilliant book by Brennan Manning – “Ruthless Trust”. It is a book I will read again and again and again! It’s the sort of rare work where no word is there w/out a purpose and every word there seems so significant you don’t want to miss a single one. He writes and teaches as well as he thinks and his thinking and insight is exceptional.

Peace and many blessings to all. Rejoice! This is the day the Lord has made.

Bob: Thoroughly enjoyed and encouraged by this and the prior posting. Thank you for your faithfulness, for your willingness to sacrifice self to be obedient, for setting an example and blazing a trail that encourages others to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Again, thank you.

Kirsten, Brennan Manning is one of God’s men. I am so glad you recommend any book by him or other men who really know God. They are gifts to us. Thanks for coming and commenting.

Where the catch is for so many is this: they think the hard work they do produces the increase. God produces the increase. We work because it is a blessing and we work to honor God. If nothing else comes from this blog about money, I think that is key.

Hi Bob, Thank you for sharing these amazing stories. Thank you for your obedeince in sowing an UNCOMMON financial seed into my life to bless many of our prayer partners. As the LORD told me, you understand Kingdom economics. You have proven yourself worthy at handling smaller things. Now God will entrust more to you. Blessings of abundance so you can sow abundantly! Randy

Thanks, Randy. Matthew 6 tells us to give in secret and be rewarded in public. I do this so much I thought about deleting your comment! Then I realized you are rewarding me in public for doing what God wanted. So, I accept that and bless you. Thank you for the mind numbing technical support to a complete novice for this blog. The people need to know that I post everything, so the galore of mistakes seen are mine in total. The fact that it is organized and presentable and is a .com is your contribution to my work greatly and enthusiastically received. Thank you! Bob
