Two Dreams on the Same Night: Running a Touchdown (Part 2)

8 July 2009 No Comment

The second dream was similar to the previous post: a man took the ball, perhaps from a kickoff, not sure, and started right. Then, suddenly he went left severely. This made him wide open to score, but it also took the  opposition at an angle to try to stop him near the sidelines. He was not watching the line and got into an ambiguous area. This was because the opposing sideline had players standing and also there was less light, so it was hard to see. In addition, the sideline, instead of being painted white was actually blue. So, blue in a dark area required careful attention. He actually ran out of bounds without knowing it and continued to run so fast it was amazing. Yet he was not going to be called out-of-bounds and not make a touchdown. His inability to perceive his boundaries in an ambiguous situation while running all out and watching against tackles would take away the quick results and the advantage he has.

So, this second dream scared me at first. What had I done wrong. I feel perhaps 95% of message dreams are about ourselves, so I was probably the man running the ball. I prayed and asked God what the dreams meant. In the words of Joseph to Pharaoh:

And the doubling of Pharaoh’s dream means that the thing is fixed by God, and God will shortly bring it about. Genesis 41:32 ESV

I felt the still small voice of the Lord say that the first dream is to encourage me. I am in the midst of breakthrough in my life. That is the sudden change of direction with little opposition.

Yet there was that man who stepped out of bounds without noticing, and it seemed to be me. I then sensed the Spirit of God telling me it was a word of wisdom: discern carefully where you are running. I sensed the blue sidelines was God’s still small voice-blue for the ministry of the Holy Spirit to lead me into truth. It is not “seen” easily because his voice is not loud, but it is there. Blue can also represent worldliness. I think it is both-the boundary between God’s calling in my life and worldly matters that will not produce fruit.

So, I feel the dreams are saying- and I feel confident, encouraged and corrected well- this is my take:

“You just broke out. This will lead you to the sidelines-the boundaries. Keep your eyes on the goal, not on the opposition. Do not get into the ambiguous areas. I sent you to feed my sheep on the internet and other places, not to get involved with peripheral issues and not losing sight of the goal. Keep blogging, share your dreams; let people know I am a  personal God who speaks to man now and always did, and who speaks in many ways. Tell them not to be afraid of me because many are afraid. You are not off track but a breakout takes you to a place where you must listen and have razor sharp discernment.

This is all part of my plan for you, it is decided by Me and is happening quickly, so be prepared. Current events are my purview-you stick with your assignment.”
